On the fence? (good info within- GH)

What's really killing me is I've been talking about Freak Kitchen ever since my friend Sheri introduced me to them and I'd pay just to see them play.

If she REALLY loves you, she'll let you spend your honeymoon at Prog Power!
:heh:

I said from the very beginning, Glenn could book 9 shitty bands and FK, and I'd still be there. I've been hoping they'd get a shot since PP2.0!

You should announce this. I think bands weak this year but 2 comming anyway. Three friends saying "No." Maybe you can change some minds, and sell more tickets.

I have less than 10% of the tickets remaining with five months to go before the show. An announcement may indeed speed things up in terms of a sell-out, but I would rather it take four months and surprise the loyal folks.

This proves my point. There ARE bands with ugly female singers.

Wynona Judd

Hole

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts (Yes she was rough on the eyes, that's why I dug Lita Ford more)

Hole

That skank that did the "I know what boys like, I know what guys want" song. Wanna punch her.

Hole

Tonya Harding and her miserably failed band

HOLE

Don't forget about Hole.

Actually... sorry, try your best to forget completely about Hole.

I'm going to try that line :) Actually she wouldn't stop me from going, she knows how much it means to come down, I've only missed 1 PP since 2.0 and that was because I was out of the country.

The once in a livetime Glenn-surprise: "Jorn's appearance has been partly replaced by a performance by Ayreon, with Jorn filling in for all the guest vocalists who couldn't make it!"

I'm on the fence but not because of the bands, but because I'm getting Married in August and taking a week vacation for our honeymoon as well as a ton of money.

What's really killing me is I've been talking about Freak Kitchen ever since my friend Sheri introduced me to them and I'd pay just to see them play. I wasn't real excited about some of the other bands (I've seen Evergrey 3 times and going again in May, Savage Circus was OK, Mercenary would be killer!) but I think Jorn will really surprise a lot of people, especially if he plays a lot of Masterplan stuff.

If I do anything this year I may just go to the Friday Show at Minneapolis Mayhem, just because it will be much cheaper and I'd get to see Jag Panzer and Omen as well as Gaia Epicus and Division.
The best of wishes from me to you and your soon to be wife. Hope we can have you both enjoying the show with us, your metal brothers from around the globe.

Is that really true or just wishful thinking?

I'm afraid it's just wishful thinking; I was really hoping to have eels in my pizza.

--oh, you mean about Ayreon? About a rat's ass of a chance, I suspect. O' course, if it is true, Glenn will string me up by my...eels.

Since this year seemed to be very metal and little Prog I was on the fence until Circus Maximus was announced at the pre-party. Would rather see them headlining a night (last year's performance kicked ass!)

I'll be down front for Freak Kitchen however!

Glenn, how bout next year putting more "Prog" back in ProgPower.....:Smug:

PS: I've been to II, III, IV, V, & VI :goggly:

PP is partly about the bands -- but equally about the "hang out" factor.

If there's a band on you don't care for, you can go out to the lobby or down to the bar and hang with great folks who are into the same music you are.

Ain't it the truth! I ran some merch back to my room last year, and had a beer. I had hoped to make it back for the Pink Cream set, but was intercepted by two of my female PP friends who I hadnt seen for.... well a year! We ended up just shooting the breeze for an hour outside the venue. I own all the PC cds... I can always listen to them. Can't hang out with these gals just any old day!
