WTF just happened for the original thread I started, eh? It's all empty and I can't even delete it :err:

Here's what I wrote:

So, has anyone got the album yet? I bought it yesterday and so far it sounds excellent. I'm not sure about them older songs 'cause I haven't heard the originals, I guess they're ok tho. But the true gems here are (just to mention a few) Saturnine, and songs from How To Measure... and of course the title song and the last track, which title now escapes my head.

Oh. That Travel song. Fockin aye! Shivers down my spine, honestly.

:Spin:

are these old songs or what? i thought they were new.. i like track 2 the most.

I love this album! I really like "Saturnine". Well that's always been my favorite.
But the older ones "Stonegarden", "Like fountains" and "The mirror waters" are really nice with Annekes voice! I love em!

Yeh, old songs. Songs from the first six albums. It's even said in the booklet, which you get if you buy the album :p

I can't name one fave track from the album. Only ones I don't enjoy so much are two oldest songs I guess. The last track which is an oldie too, I guess, is great tho.

How To Measure a Planet -stuff sounds excellent that way, like I said already. Shrink is a good song, but it doesn't benefit much from the concept of the gig since it's pretty much the way it was on the album.

So far i only have the teaser CD, i guess i'll get the full album soon.

But i was at the recording of the album, at the 'Lux' last august, and it was just brilliant :D

I cant wait to hear it again, Stonegarden was a highlight, thats actually the song we ask them to play as an encore btw.

hope you know, that Century Media released this cd, so it must be the same situation like with that dvd... the band issued a p.announcement, that they had had nothing to do with that.

so if you buy this cd you're probablye supporting CM and not the band. :(

yeh. it just listened to souveniers properly for the first time, and it sounds quite boss. tho at first not every song sound too strong composition-wise I think. production is ace, but I felt some songs lacked something, to be honest. aah, but it was only the first real spin you see.

felt the same way about AND, still havit tho. actually, i'm not too keen on the production there.. (couldnt do it better meself tho)
souvenirs is just really a good sequel to the previous ones (obviously ;)) but it has this "free" touch more than the previous albums. and i just *adore* a life all mine, but u know, Garm and that :p

I think this time it's a bit different. Century Media owns almost all the songs on SB so that's why it's released by them.
And TG definitelly had a lot to do with this cd. :)

well.. yeah, Im listening to old versions and the new is better. I still prefer Souvenirs.
(And no matter how bold it is written, Im not plannig to buy Gathering. Its just a one-night affair with them, I get bored after some weeks, which is not acceptable when its about shopping.. no offence tho)

im getting it tomorrow but i know already that its good cause i went to the 2nd night of those 2 shows  youre all... OUTFUNNED!!!

hehe good one, pieter. you lucky lucky fucktard hahaha

yeah, it's an awesome CD. even before i layed my hands on it, i knew it would be excellent...you know that feeling? it happens to me with opeth and anathema CDs, too. i always know it's gonna be good. funny feeling.

ah yeah its like the new antimatter one :)

but i thought the same about katatonia but scheisse that didnt count.

btw if you own! the original version then you might find me on the back cover into the audience :) well i think its me, its quite blurry, right on top, with his head into his hands :) cause i think thats laurie anne then next to me :) :) :)
