New solo project to get better at recording/mixing and also have some good fun.

I'm tracking 4 songs at the moment. They are quite different from each other. This first one was the easiest one so here it goes a little of Pop-ish punk.

You can listen to my Soundcloud

Or my video

to see my place while recording it (the vid is also self-recorded/produced) and tell me what you think of the tone (and video) quality.

I literally learned the video editor for 4 days to edit the clip.

More metal and punk rock tunes very soon when I finish mixing them.

EDIT: New video added. I don't really know what genre would that be.

EDIT 2: New video added. Guitars sound weird here:

EDIT 3: New vid. Acoustic stuff this time:

Cool mainstream production groove, don't change your production style.:D
will be keeping an ear to the ground to hear your the finished product.

Cool song :)

Dude awesome track. You leave a lot of imagination though. You have nailed mid 90's punk, or modern Japanese punk. You left a lot of head room for additional dub overs... which you should add to add more depth to your song. Mix is great, but is missing depth from guitars which the vocals should fill, but don't in certain breaks.

Add over dubbs honestly. The only constructive thing I can say. Great work.

Many thanks for chiming in, man but nah hahaha it's just a fairly simple and typical composition. Not that original but I'm glad you find it appealing.

About the overdubs, I've put some thought into this when I was tracking them but I finally didn't out of a mix of aesthetics and laziness but I guess you're right, they would add something to the choruses and here and there. Hey, if the song asks for it...

I appreciate your input. Food for thought.

Last song of the batch. The EP is complete now.

First time doing acoustic guitar only and first video I make outside the studio. Now I just need a nice cam and a good camerawoman -not bad for her first time, and she liked it-. Not quite happy with the guitars, though. I guess I'll have to work on micing.
