One of my latests tracks. Show me yours.

Sounds awesome! Love the wild rhythms, they still flow. Just be careful not to abuse those big scale running tapping licks. They sound great in moderation. Do you have any interest in adding some more simpler melodic leads? Like you did from 1:10-1:25. I think that could sound great. You seem to lean on those chunky rhythms and wild scale-based lead runs. I think if you branch out with more riffs involving intervals and some tasteful leads your sound would be more appealing to me personally. Good job though you are clearly capable. If you think this is the exact sound you want to go for than by all means, keep doing what you do.

Here's what my stuff sounds like. It's all tablature export, but it was composed by me. https://soundcloud.com/seth-robinson-5/modulate

(Edit: I think 10z is the best track out of the 4 or 5 I listened to. I think you blend your abilities artfully.)

Thanks a lot dude! I get what you're saying. I tried to take some of your advice with my latest song, also messed around with some electronic stuff. If you have time, tell me what you think: https://soundcloud.com/mark-leisy/z96

Your song sounds a lot like dream theater to me, I would love to hear it with a real guitar. I think it might sound better if you used less toms with the drums. For example, you could do 2 or 3 measures of the intro with the toms but than transition into a beat with the cymbals, snare, and kick drum. Maybe even half time it.
