Been dying to see AA for a while now, I can't attend Bloodstock as its too much money and i'd only be going for AA. Can't do london as im away at that time.

One date doesnt seem enough... What about the small, intimate venues like Norwich Waterfront or UEA, or ipswich.

Or even big ones like Birmingham?

As far as I've seen there are no Swedish dates part from Sweden Rock Festival either.

My guess is they and/or their label can't do everything on every tour.

It sucks, I agree, not to be able to see them when they do tour, but I don't think there's a whole lot to do about it either.
Just wait until next time and hope for better luck.

Hehehe. I really think you should keep it there Amon.

My complaint is not with the fact that there is only one UK date. London is easy to reach anyway. IF you can afford to pay upwards of a hundred pounds for transport, or drive for 8 hours. So that is another date I cannot make, and not for lack of trying... :erk: In the grand scheme of things getting from East Anglia to London is not too bad Maggot- If you have a place to crash in London, by all means try.

It would have been cheaper to go to Madrid, Bilbao or Barcelona for the Spanish mini-tour than get a common-arse ticket to London from Edinburgh. I honestly don't have a fucking clue how airlines set their prices.

Edit: GRRRR. Just GRRR.

The London gig was pretty incredible and would have been worth the trip.

I see what you mean about the air fares-it's pretty insane (although I'm not complaining about the cheap tickets to fly abroad) Have you looked into flying to London from Edinburgh? And perhaps befriending some nice London folk for a place to crash?

Sometimes the term "European Tour" is so misleading. I know very well that it's not any bands' fault but still, Sweden is part of Europe is it not? Or did my 4th grade teacher tell me wrong?

I am not short of friends in London- I had three separate places to crash in. That was never the problem! :)

However the price of the Edinburgh-London flight when I checked (and I kept checking budget and regular airlines every day up till the weekend) was absolutely insane... And the train... Well, costs an arm and a leg and at that short notice they don't even guarantee a seat for you. :zombie: Welcome to the UK.

I know it's pretty harsh. I got a train up to Manchester once from London and that was really expensive-even with few months notice!
Move to London-that's your only solution now.

I think in the travel books Sweden, Norway and Finland were voted "out of Europe, just somewhere ass-up-north" and that is probably the explanation for the misunderstandings.
