I got this idea of doing a heavy metal time capsule to bury somewhere, one thought was to recruit some of the UM regulars, have the people interested, burn an album of their choice, the record must be from 1970-1990, contribute a post card of their town & write on the post card who you chose & what that record means to you. Tag it with your UM id example"jonny d" or ted van frehley." I was thinking of hiding it on the Oregon Coast later, in the summer...Or Possibly in California somewhere....

hmmm...the albums tricky, but living by the seaside i've got fuckin loads of postcards i can get!i've still got your addy somewhere sixx,i'll post something out this week-i've got to do loads of posting to the u.s anyway.
btw,you boys in the states and canada-i'm looking at getting a track of ours on the cover cd of a magazine called brave words and bloody knuckles-any of you boys read it?for that matter,is there any good u.s/canadian mags to send the album for review to?
answers on a postcard please!

Are you sure you're not just trying to get some free discs?

Just kiding!

Count me in Swine. Think I'll go with one of the Wrathchild albums since they are the local big dogs from this area (besides Kix).

Brave Words is a cool mag. I think all you have to do is pay 2 or 3 hundred bucks and they will put you on their comp disc.... no joke, that's what the ad says. Let us know if you get on it.

I have to wait until I'm home again, because 95 % of my colection is there.

Hmm Unless you're planning to put a Cd player down there are you sure anyone will have the ability to play those suckers when they dig 'em up?

It would have to be Deep Purple's "Machine Head" for me (the 25th anniversary remix of course).

I know I ain't a regular yet but it seems a pretty cool idea - notwithstanding the first point I made. ;)

I can't make up my mind! Wicked Child took mine :bah: :)

Maybe Black Sabbath - Sabotage or Paranoid

jesus-if your going by area,we're the only metal band in ours that i can think of.the anti nowhere league live nearby, but they arnt exactly metal.plenty of brit metal bands i guess-xentrix or sabbat.that reminds me,greeno-what did you think of those xentrix albums?

sorry hawk,i was thinking more old school as in stuff i listened to years ago.to be honest i've not heard biomechanical, only what you've said about them, and they sound pretty stomping from that,so i'll have to check them out.

Baldy I checked em out after a good Hawk Post and they are great! I think youd dig em

I've not listened to them yet... hahaha..... too much music not enough time! I did pick up a copy of the first album on vinyl so it's now in the "to be listened to soon" pile. :)
