Opeth Blackwater Park

Blackwater park was my introductary album to Opeth. I would considre it to be better than average. Although its not really my kind of metal, they are quite talented.

You said "Blackwater Park is fucking masterpiece, in my opinion". Well, that is your opinion and the reviewer is certainly entitled to his. If you cannot understand how anyone can give Opeth a bad review, open your ears, eyes, and mind.
No band is infallible.

Blackwater Park... the best Opeth???
Yeah fuckin right. It's a good album, but it's only a 7 / 10 album since the second half is so goddamn boring. Morningrise and My Arms, Your Hearse are much better.
And no one's doing what Opeth are doing? Have you ever heard Edge of Sanity's Crimson? I think that Opeth's work sounds quite similar to Swano's work with Edge of Sanity, especially the song Crimson. Also, Novembre are quite similar, but I think that they are a better band than Opeth now, especially since Opeth has released not one, but four lackluster albums in a row. Still Life was a 6 / 10 album, slightly above average, and Deliverance and Damnation both get 5 / 10 for being so utterly mediocre. I liked them for about a day, but I could never once listen to either album all the way through. Opeth's best days are in the past, and they keep pumping out music with little thought except following their formula. Hopefully they do something different eventually (and dividing their two sounds into seperate albums is nothing special and is instead quite ho-hum). I'll listen to Novembrine Waltz from Novembre over Opeth any day of the week.
