after spruce goose's "best of..." thread, I decided to get an OPETH albulm....

I got it today.... 'Blackwater Park'.......

I'm impressed!!!!!!!!!!!

some of the songs remind me of Cemetary's "Godless Beauty" very nice!!!

I also like the mix of vocal styles

Thanks for opening my eyes (Ummm.....ears!) :D
 
I used to be the biggest Opeth fan in all the land, but I lost interest in them as I discovered other, fresher-sounding (to me, at least) bands such as In Flames and Children of Bodom. "Morningrise" still remains to this day one of my all-time favourite albums, though, but I'm yet to hear the new one.
 
My fav Opeth album is My Arms Your Hearse. Fucking magic. Still Life is darn good also. Orchid's ab fab, but Idon't know Morningrise as well yet. I'm gonna pick up the newie this coming week.
 
Opeth are kickass! I recently bought Blackwater Park as well, and so far I haven't been able to get into it as much as Still Life - it's an amazing album, sure, but Still Life is in my all-time top ten.

You've just inspired me to give Blackwater Park another listen right now! :)
