Anyone know what CDs were being played before any of the bands came on?

A few of the first people at the gig would have heard the CD I was talking about.. or atleast it sounded like someone was playing a full album. But it was pretty fucking catchy. Anyone know who it was by?

My dad passed down the Sepultura - Roots CD to me when I got into metal because he didn't like it. I listened to the whole thing after I got it, and then never listened to it again. -_-
