I am digging the drum sound on the Orphaned Land sapari

The myspace says he plays both acoustic and electric drums. Great band. Does anyone have any info on the recording process for this release?

Awesome band. I don't have any info though =( The making of on the special edition CD doesn't have any drum tracking; only a couple of guitars, folk instruments and vocals (some through what looks like a 57 o_O). They're playing here in two days, I can't wait!

Amazing show last night! One of my top 5 for sure.

First off, what a super tight band. They opened with "Sapari," which was fucking amazing! I'm quite new to this band, but from what my friend tells me they played a good mix of stuff and plenty from the new album. Lots of crowd interaction, some ethnic Jewish tuneage, sampling for all songs was spot on, just a great performance and highly entertaining!

Gear wise: Both guitar players used JCM 2000s from what I could see. One might have been a JCM 900 or JCM 800 dual channel...I couldn't see that one well enough. Both played PRS guitars. The dude right in front of me played a Tremonti which, minus the name on the truss cover, looks like a reallllllly sweet guitar.

Amazing show...catch it if you can!

my drummer is a student of the drummer who recorded the drum parts on this CD, he's called avi diamond, it's some really expensive DW kit at some really expensive studio in israel

This song sounds like it was recorded at the same place Demons & Wizards recorded Touched by the Crimson King at.

Edit: Maybe not because I don't think Steven Wilson did anything with Demons & Wizards.

Let me just say, I LOVE this song...from the show I went to:

Song title is wrong, but what an amazing piece. Very Opeth-esque! No doubt, Steven Wilson had some input for the mellotron in there. :D I love the little violin weeeeeooooohhh, in the middle, hehe.

Dayam the drums sound great when you put your cam ears on. Is it the same dude that did the CD?

Put them on my must see list.
