Orwarrior Tour

Yes, it's really soon!! :p

I see the dates, and Barcelona is the very first of all!! Has been any concert previously I'm not aware of? Are we the first privileged ones? :worship:

I'd like to make some questions, but if we are the first, I don't know if anybody will know the answer... I won't be able to be for the opening of the doors (work), so... How long uses to be the cover band? (I wish it's long enough for me arriving before the OL concert!). And... how long the concert is? If I know these data, I'll be able to arrange a little more the going to and the going back from the concert...

I CAN'T WAAAIT!!!! :headbang:

My ticket's at home so I canot doublecheck, but isn't the concert starting at 21:00 or am I just remembering it wrongly?

I just took a holiday for it. Going straight from work to a show in a rush is just not my cup of tea. This is the type of event holidays were invented for :)

Ticket says at 20.30, but perhaps that's the gates opening... I've not good luck, as I ever leave work at 17.30, but JUST THAT DAY I have a meeting, and it's expected to last until 20 h... I'll have to go in a rush!

Quiting the job? LOL :loco:

I've never gone to a concert which started at the exact time scheduled... And I suppose that, at least, the support band will play for half an hour or more... I'm not far from there, not a lot more than 30 min. I think I'll do it. I already told at work I've a concert, so if they are still there at 20h... perhaps I quietly and silently dissappear, change my clothes for more fitting ones and... off I go to see OL!!!! :headbang:

Esther, check your PM. There's a support band called Leaves (aparently a The Gathering-esque band) so i think you got some time left ... If not, the friendly folks at the CAP are always helpful writing a sick note ;)

I took two days off. If anyone carpools from Cataluña to Madrid the day after and has a spare seat... ;)

Videos and loads of pictures! I was in the very first line, just in front of Kobi and Yossi!!! I'm sure they can remember a girl jumping and taking pictures with no stop

I'll show you the best pictures, and some of the videos... once downloaded to the computer and once I know how to post videos! (I suppose there's no problem with posting videos from the concerts here, am I right?). I'll need some few time...

But before that I must say: it has been the best concert ever!! I enjoyed it as I never did before... I went alone, as nobody I know knows and likes Orphaned Land (I don't have too many metal friends), and I knew I had to go, with a crowd or on my own. I will never regret that new experience :headbang:

Thanks to the band for the fantastic concert!

PS. In fact, I prefer not to show any video until somebody tells me that's really no problem with that. I suppose not, but I prefer to do things well.

PS2. Is my real name displayed somewhere in my profile? I didn't notice o_O

Here some of the pictures. The quality is not good in a lot of them... I had to shoot with very high ISO, as I didn't want to use the flash

If you want some few more (I'm only allowed to post 15 pictures), you can go to my Flickr.

The movies are made by digital compact camera... in MOV format. All are only pieces of songs... and the best ones are not to be made public: the sound is too good... and you can hear too much some silly person "trying to sing"... errm... I'll post the ones in which that person is more silent

I suppose I can upload them in Youtube, but I never did yet. If I need any advice, I'll post it here. Thanks!

Please check with Nathalie. If you want to upload them, it can be done on the Orphaned Disciples YouTube Channel.
Still we would like to keep posting good quality videos. The reason is simple: bad image and/or bad sound gives a bad image of the band :)
Cheers

Well... I've been checking all the material. As I've told, no full song is recorded, only parts (some 3 minutes part, though....). Sound and image quality are pretty good... I'm still amazed what a compact digital camera can do! But, of course, some of them have some "ghost voices" than make them not available for the public. Perhaps I can share of the non-voiced ones, if you wish. And if you want a not-full song recording... what I don't know!

I'll re-check them later, and if some is good enough I'll send a PM to Natalie to ask her if the Disciples could be interested. If not, I will do for myself... As what I wanted was, mainly, keep a recording for myself of that great day! :D

Esther, were you the girl with long blonde hair and a shirt with goth-esque black sleeves? Because I was standing on front row just to the right of Kobi (seeing from the crowd's angle). We probably saw each other without even knowing!

Damn cash issues... I wish I could see more than 1 show. But then, this show was epic. I often leave concerts disappointed because of my OCD and anxieties that often rise when my expectations are high. Somehow the band was so overwhelming I forgot about my issues for two hours and danced and sang along as if I never did otherwise. Highlights?? Too many to name, but if i really must choose... Sapari, Ocean Land (what a fantastic outro), Seasons Unite, and obviously my favourite Norra El Norra (keeping the best for last I guess)

Kobi is the "king of cool". His charisma is incredible. When he walked on the stage and said "Really, I am not Jesus Christ". :D Thanks to a friend I had the chance to talk to Kobi and Yossi afterwards. Such gentlemen, such interesting and friendly people. This night will stick to my memory for a really really really long time. I bought the new CD as souvenir (I wanted to buy it at the concert rather than in a record store - a better souvenir is unthinkable, not?) and hope the band will come back to Spain soon. This concert was epic.

Oh, and while I realise the practical difficulties, I hope Shlomit will be there next time I see them live. Her vocals in Sapari and Norra El Norra would be amazing if she were standing next to Kobi on stage.
