I don't know if any of y'all have heard stories of donation centers being overwhelmed and turning people away, but in case that's been anyone here, here is someone else who's taking donations and taking them down. The office is just east of 400, just before the fire station and just after the Animal Clinic.

Katrina Donation Drop Off Site – RE/MAX Greater Atlanta, 1585 Holcomb Bridge Road, Roswell, Georgia 30076 770-993-4848, Just East of Old Alabama on Holcomb Bridge Road 1-3 PM on Saturday 9/3/05 and Monday 9/5/05

Our Large Moving Truck will be at the RE/MAX Office on Holcomb Bridge Road accepting donations from 1-3 PM on Saturday and again from 1-3 on Monday, Labor Day. If you feel you want to make a difference in the lives of the people that have lost almost everything in the storm ravaged areas south of us, we would be honored to carry your donations. We are taking mainly newer clothing, blankets and bedding, canned goods, bottled juices, baby supplies (diapers, pedialyte, baby food), newer toys, water, and what you would like to donate that will make a difference.

Everyone please do what you can. THis hit very close to home for me. I'm from Louisiana originally, and the suffereing is just unfathomable. Stay tuned for more thoughts regarding this. I may try to put something together for donations, and other things for the event......
