Yes, Phanto, Wychwood makes good stuff. Unfortunately, Albuquerque is controlled by a distributorship and we don't get much good stuff. My annual trip to Colorado is a fun expedition though. At least we get Stone and Avery locally though. Maharaja is absolute heaven for the IPA style.

Of course, not every little town here has their own great local beer like they do in germany for example, but there are a few.

Prior to Prohibition, every town did have a local neighborhood brewpub. Thank you to our politicians for destroying all American breweriania. Save for Yuengling and Anheiser Busch, no breweries could withstand that dark period of time and all folded. Thankfully, the craft brewing age has returned, and most British brewers even comment on some of the insanely good beers now being made in the US.

And, Belgium leads the world in breweries per capita.

and in all honesty, i go for shit beer every now and then (PBR FTW!!!) but it depends on if i'm looking to have a nice beer for the evening or do a bit of partying with the friends.
