Some of you know that I'm a gamer (mainly a console gamer and die-hard Nintendo fan), so it's probably no surprise that I'm a huge fan of this guy's reworkings of Metroid music as metal:

His production isn't too bad, sounds a lot like a POD and Battery, but still pretty high quality. I really love what he's done with the music though, as I have always loved the music in the Metroid series as much as the games themselves.

The original Metroid for NES is the single greatest video game ever created, in the history of man, period. It is a fact that cannot be argued.

To this list at #2 sits original Zelda, followed at #3 by Kid Icarus. Again, these are hard and fast rules and facts, not to be argued or disputed.

I like these treatments he's done. He did a great job on Brinstar.

I think that Contra sneaks in ahead of Kid Icarus at #3.

Still nod to the old Amiga and old Pc games
I'm sorry but they are far better than console games.
"I'm Guybrush Threepwood, a mighty pirate" :p

Hell yeah! I was a diehard Amiga fan and didn't fully switch off the platform until 1996 or so. It was all about Shadow of the Beast - which makes the first Ninja Turtles game on NES seem easy - but it was still badass!! :headbang:

I was also a huge fan of Lemmings, Populous, Scorched Tanks, Sim City, Gods, Chaos Engine, Flashback, Obitus, Battle Squadron, Deluxe Galaga, It Came From The Desert, F-18 Interceptor, etc. I still fire up my Amiga 2000 and 3000 once in a while (or my emulator.)

Damnit Flashback was so fucking addictive... The predecessor Another World was awesome aswell, and a lot harder to beat. I think my first ever Amiga memory was in the tank game Firepower. Multiplayer action in huge arenas where it was impossible to find eachother heh.

And who could forget the excitment when you got a amiga game in these huge gameboxes. The bigger the better. Why don't they have those kind of packages today... Everything has to be in the size of an DVD-case.

Uh god shane you were playing all the old classics I was really into!!!!
I loved amiga. My mom give to it my cousin, I still hate her for having done that
Amiga was different you had both platform games as Nes and Superninetendo and graphic adventure games.
It was the shit back in the day.
Bought it back in 1990.

You know that another world has been rivisited by his original programmer.
check it here
There's just an xp version.
It's been revisitd with hires graphic and a few levels more!!!!
I loved that game

That's cool! It was known as "Out of This World" in the USA (don't know why, "Another World" is a better title by far.) I liked that game a lot but I found it impossibly hard in some spots. Flashback was a big step forward, that game was absolutely amazing and I miss it.
