Grand Theft Auto 4. Though the first PS3 game I ever got was Assasins Creed, also a good start.

Actually, you can go on the Playstation Network and download old Playstation 1 games for cheap. I highly recommend getting the Final Fantasy series.

Don't sell your ps3...it's an amazing machine...get Battlefield 2 if you want a fun multiplayer game..if you want a great singleplayer game get God Of War 3
Unchartered 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Heavy Rain...also worth mentioning...Modern Warfare 2, Red Faction 3, Saint Row 2, Prototype, Killzone 2 and Batman Arkam Asylum.......plus blue ray movies
