i'm really thinking about unmounting all his toms and some of his cymbals, and givin him broomsticks as sticks....
what the hell can you do to make a drummer hit harder?

i'm honestly thinking about playing the drums myself on the next recording....
i'm a really bad player, no cool fills, nothing special, but at least i'm beating the crap out of the kit...i'm a guitarist, though

IMHO, he would sound better if he had his kit setup to better reflect his playing style. More resonant toms and a more tonal snare sound. That kit seems to be setup for full velocity playing.
