Other bands play...

Not sure I've seen that on any of their set lists in the past few years. Hearing Blood of My Enemies and Battle Hymn live, however, ranks among my top all time live music experiences.

Yes, they're just so damn manly that they appear to be gay to the untrained eye. See the thing to look at is the leopard-print loincloth; if it's from a store, he's gay. But Manowar, of course, are the epitome of testosterone-laden ugly muscle, and actually went out and killed leopards, with whose skin they thereafter fashioned their mighty junkrags.

Funny, I've never listeneed to a loin cloth. Music, sure, but not how a band looks. You have incredible skills to have mastered this.

I actually like the fact so many metal fans hate Manowar.

I can look at a pic of most anything and make fun of it. Trust me, the first time I saw the cover for Into Glory Ride I laughed myself silly. But contextually even that isn't anymore ridiculous than pretentious arty album covers. It's honest, and the unintended homoeroticism as such was merely a manifestation of the genre itself that was not so incidentally started by a very gay fellow who crafted some of the best music ever.

But, nice to know you can enjoy listening. Too many people seem inclined to judge bands by appearance.

Why does everyone always talk about how Manowar wore loincloths? When was the last time they wore it? It's been so long already. People should just get over it.

Born of black wiiiind, fiiire, and STEEL!!!!
fixed.

But Manowar, of course, are the epitome of testosterone-laden ugly muscle, and actually went out and killed leopards, with whose skin they thereafter fashioned their mighty junkrags.
I shall forever utilize this quote to discredit anyone who says Manowar are gay.

I fear that you may not be qualified to speak authoritatively on this matter. You should stick to clumsily flirting with the various female members here. Use your trademark awkwardness and don't forget to patronize!
