To all of the people that slag Ozzy, FUCK OFF. The guy IS a metal icon who has gotten overexposed...I can't believe some people don't realize what an influence he has been on ALL metal music. Black Sabbath were the first true heavy metal band and influenced 99% of the bands you listen to. If you want to rip on someone, rip on some of these fucking no talent, one hit wonder nu-metal bands or something. The guy has had a successful 30+ year career and should be respected for that.
I see..however, does he deserve respect for allowing his spoiled ass, annoying as fuck, kids on tv to rant and rave about trivial bullshit, penly coming off as a burnout, brainless fuckwit, and releasing an album such as Down to Earth? I'm sorry bro, as great as Sabbath was and as memorable as some of Ozzy's solo work songs are..the guys time is fucking UP...

I don't deny that Black Sabbath were an iconoclistic group that have influenced a whole genre. But I do deny Ozzy taking all the credit for it. Geezer and Tony were Sabbath in my opinion. You could take Ozzy out of the picture and add whoever in there and they wouldn't be any less the gods that they are. Papa said it best. His wife is the one mostly responsable for all his new found hype that he has accumulated. And if it wasn't for her, he wouldn't be half way as successful as he is now.
But deep down. I could really give a fuck what he does. If it makes him happy, so be it.
