i've a pair of full range speakers at home that are just lying about since i got a way better set for the band p.a. Since these are just lying about i figure i might as well put them to use so i was thinking of converting them to sub's by disconnecting the tweeters and replacing the 1X15's with decent high powered ones.
what i'm wondering is would it be worth my time/money, like would they be any good?
the speakers as they are aren't very loud but they sound o.k- they lack kinda mid range definition i supoose you'd say but other than that they're clear enough and the cab construction is sturdy.
opinions? i figure it'll cost me about 120-200 euro for the speakers in total, to spring for new sub's would be 175 each for low enough end stuff.
