I think the overall feel is damnation like..the harmonies, the (dual) vocals...the atmosphere

I've been saying this for a long time, even before Damnation was released I predicted the songs would bear resemblance to the finsihed product. They should have been held over for Damnation instead of being used to lure fans into buying an album they already owned.

I think Damnation and Patterns II have nothing in common. if they did I'd like Damnation even more

no actually he is right. Both patterns 2 and Still day have the same sctructure, chord progressions, and transitions as those in damnation. if you cannot hear the resemblance... then maybe you should listen again.

duh. the bonus cd of the bwp reissue was basically "hey! here's what we're gonna be doing!" the only difference is, the first two songs didn't get a steve wilson production, instead being recorded in (mikael's? renske's?) house with a glove over a microphone.
