Paul Di'Anno got his US Visa.....

Again from the Iron Maiden forum, some of his non-Maiden songs that were played.

Marshall Lockjaw
Faithhealer
Beast Arises
Impaler
Children Of Madness

and a cover tune Blitzkrieg Bop

Marshall Lockjaw, Faith Healer, Beast Arises, Impaler?! Those are like his 4 best solo songs, FUCK YES. Impaler will rip your faces off. "IMPALER SEALS YOUR DOOM!"

Ok so these are KILLERS tracks:
Marshall Lockjaw
Beast Arises
Impaler

This is a BATTLEZONE track:
Children Of Madness

What is this from?
Faithhealer

Not sure how I feel about Paul Di'Anno covering the RAMONES.
Sure, he obviously has punk influences, but this slot could have been used for a MAIDEN tune.

While I would have preferred an ALL Maiden set, I suppose its like the Jon Oliva / Savatage discussion from last week.

While Paul still embraces his time in Maiden (as it's literally his bread and butter), he has also done a LOT of music since those days, so it makes sense he would want to perform it.

Faith Healer is a cover and it was done on the Killers - Menace To Society album. It's a great album too, but it is a lot different than the first. I love it, but it is a lot more "brutal" than Murder One, although I hold it in just a high regard. Unfortunately, I seem to be one of the few people that really likes it.

Blitzkrieg Bop is a punk anthem my freind....The Ramones.

That's Bob's current haircut and glasses.

it's true....that guy is much more better looking than me though.

While this show is still weeks away....from what it sounds like that he is a beaten man. I hope he can physically make it the whole tour. I am excited for the show....I am excited to see Icarus Witch again. They are such an over looked band.

Armor Column cd release show: Feb 12th Glens Falls,ny

WASTEFROM (1st show in years)

TENTACLES (CD release)

I could be wrong, but I think I may recall him coming to the Thirsty Whale with BATTLEZONE in the late 80's, but that would be about it.

Maiden's first US tour was KISS's "Creatures of the Night" tour, right? That was what, like 82?

Actually it was 80 or 81, 3rd on the bill with Priest and Whitesnake

I'm probably going to go to the Detroit show, I'd be curious to know if you of you chicagoites get anything signed, I was hoping to get some stuff signed but from what someone posted earlier it doesn't sound like he's to keen on signing stuff. Icarus Witch will though, saw in Chicago with Trouble and they were more than happy to sign my cds! Does anyone know what new songs they are playing in their set?
