Is there supposed to be such long pauses in between tracks? I have the Re-Release with the interview on the disk if that helps. There is a pause about 5 seconds long after every track ends.

I'm gonna get flamed for this, but...
I have the album, had it for years, but its "greatness" is still yet to make sense to me. I hate that fucking drumming - no, there's nothing "good" about Fenriz behind a kit. Nocturno Culto leaves much to be desired as well. I know that this isn't very KVLT of me seeing as to how everyone wants to blow them, but Darkthrone is fucking overrated.

My favourite pauses are the huge ones before I consider playing it and the even huger pauses between repeat plays - usually in the 3 year range. It's fucking rubbish.

As for Nocturno Culto's work...well it's just an approach they went for on that album, I think it works. For more 'defined' material just check out the earlier albums.
I still think this is a great album, though it has been displaced by Under a Funeral Moon as my top Darkthrone release.
