Okay...I haven't listened to this cd since probably '97 and am listening to it now after all the time gone by. I remember when it came out it was 'different' and everybody, including myself thought it to be mediocre with a couple good tunes. I listen to it now, and I am fucking loving it. I even feel safe about saying that it's their most mature effort. Excellent.

If you don't like the band STFU and keep it to yourself.

No Code and Yield are my least favorite PJ albums, but I've only had those two (along with Riot Act) for under a year. They are good though. I finally realized the brilliance of Vitalogy just a few months ago, after years of thinking it defined the term MEH. I'm just glad that Big Fish had that song Man of the Hour during the credits, which made me go back to this once-loved group o' mine.

Descending Order of Loveness:
Ten
Riot Act
Vitalogy
self-titled
Binaural
No Code
Yield

I'm a Pearl Jam freak myself. Like a lot of people, I gave up on them for a bit, but No Code is actually the album that brought me around again, and it's still easily my favorite.
I think these guys are on the short list for best American contemporary rock band. They kill live too, and I love the varying setlist thing. They should have a new one out the end of this year. I've got a veritable assload of live PJ if anybody ever needs to be hooked up.

For years I've only had "Ten" and "Vitalogy". It was only a few months ago that I got myself the other albums. "Ten" is still my favourite though. It's one of the very few albums where I can't pick a favourite song cos they're all equally good, superb actually. :Spin: I need to listen to the other albums more before I can rank them.
