I remember though that in old revalver I used to change the powertubes to either EL34 or 6550. Usually it made the sim scream a bit more. In a good way...

I'm still of the opinion Revalver does the 5150 better than any other modeller with a good Impulse

i thought revalver was shit till i start to really listen to the changes which are produced by the buttons/knobs on revalver. this shit is SOOOOOOOOO fuckin sensitive, thats rediculous. there are so many free impulses out there thats crazy and some of them are simply uber tier. for near 200€ it was like on of the best investments ive ever made.

besides anything, even if revalver were like 0,1% crapier in sound quality than free amp sims i wouldnt care very much cuz revalver doesnt use even the half asio performance of free vsts (at least it looks like that).

only question i have is why all the hate for the revalver impulse loader? does it really sound THAT bad? the asio load is like non existant.

The loader in ReValver colors the sound of the impulses too much. I still haven't gotten around to making clips to show it but when I demo'ed IR1A from MellowMuse I compared it to the ReValver loader and the sound was way better with IR1A. I bought IR1A right after that.

in the end though, i still like using REvalver for my guitars, until i can replace it with an axe FX that is
