Peavey Bandit

Wow that sounds really good. It doesn't sound very thin to me either. I would even go as far that it sounds a lot better than many clips I've heard of far more expensive tube amps. Could you share with us your set up of the amp, which guitar + pickups and impulses you used?

Thanks for the comments guys :)

deadisalive: I had the gain on 3,5, low 5, mid 4.5, high 10, presence 10. The "tube dynamics" were on 10 and resonance was on "tight". I used the "modern" channel. And yeah , I used a TS9 in front with no drive, tone on 7´o clock and level on 12 o´clock. It required some tweaking ofcourse, but the main tone was still ok.

scorpio01169: Hehe, no vocals to be done on this one.. Or does anyone wanna have a go? :P

zakky: Amps dist. and a TS9 as mentioned above :)

elmoe: I used GuitarHack's latest "Between-1 bottom speaker" impulse.

VH100R: Thanks! haha, indeed we do.. I've got a JCM900 1960A cabinet as well :P

mr.L.: Hm yeah it sounded better than I expected too. Cheap stuff can sound really good sometimes. I lined my absolutely horrible DOD Death Metal distortion pedal direct in today, and used impulses on that haha.. Sounded ok despite the horrid amount of gain that pedal produces :P For this song I used my Ibanez UV7PWH with DiMarzio Blaze II pickups (i think).

Seems like you can turn every amp into a good sounding fucker! :kickass:

I think your advantage is the great overall sound. The guitars are very good, but maybe not particularly sticking out. But in combination with the great drums and bass they sit right in the middle and kick some major ass!

It required some tweaking ofcourse, but the main tone was still ok.

Would love to know your understanding of "tweaking" :notworthy What do you do to get this powerful but always transparent sound?

The more I listen to the song the more I get the feeling that those are one of the best programmed drums I've heard so far (they are programmed, right?)
