Tried a couple of them... for the money I'd go for a Brice.

Their not bad at all! band i recorded used one and i had nothing to complain about.

The only peavy bass I really loved was the cirrus. But I mean for the price I better had god damn loved it.

I have one and it not the greatest but its sounds damn good! The passive pickups are actually very active sounding to me.
