Good Replacement Bass Pickups?

I'm wanting to replace the stock pups in my peavey grind bass sometime soon hopefully. I don't really know a damn thing about bass pickups as I've never looked into them. So far the only ones that have caught my eye are the EMG 40DC and 40CS. Any others I should look into? Any good passives around?

If its a newer Grind I think the pups are the same size as the Cirrus pups. So with that in mind, you should get them! I know if you call Peavey they sell factory direct replacement parts. Just make sure and upgrade the preamp too! The Seymour Duncan preamps are really nice.

I haven't tried the CS's, but the DC's are made of pure win, IMO. SUPER tight and super agressive.

From what I've read the CS's are supposed to be a bit warmer than the DC's but I'm kind of wanting clarity and punch, so maybe a pair of DC's would be the way to go.
