Peavey Windsor Half Stack 399.00 @ Musicians Friend

Here in Sweden they cost about 480$.
Im glad that i work in a musicstore, so i can get one for about 300$. ;D

Edit:
Ok, jesus christ monkeyballs, i missed that the 4*12 was included in that frikkin' price! o,0
Thats even less then what it costs to buy one directly from peavey ffs. ;X

Ask Glenn, he posted a clip once and the thing sounded fucking unbelievable, yes it has that Marshall jcm 800 vibe, i definitely would buy one.

That's a good deal. Even if you sell the cab and only get $100 for it, you still got a Marshall style head for $300 brand new....

Edit- Ha, I just looked it up, the head is selling for $299 now....

Dude, i've posted so many clips of this shit, DAUNTLESS (???) did some bands demo with one that was KILLER, and OZNIMBUS posted a few kickass clips.
i've been bonering for one for a damn long time now, just out of monies.

They were $499 for the half-stack about a month ago. Probably being discontinued?

fond it!

I have a 25% off coupon so I can get it for about $299, but damn, I just spent a lot of money on gear. That plus the $70 shipping and the fact that I won't use the cab makes me pass.

Best Buy has the head alone for $299... Free shipping I think, or you can just pick it up in store...

AHH BOO at the 69.99 shipping cost.

I'm only an hour away from the warehouse so I can pick it upfor 10 bucks in gas. Or, if you live around a Guitar Center they should match this price since they carry the Windsor too.

I actually bought one last year but took it back the next day because I couldn't get a sound I liked and was on a recording deadline. I ended up just using a Marshall. Now that I have some time to play and it's 100 bucks cheaper, it may be time to try again.

Just downloaded the PDF musiciansfriend offered for download and found this:

"At times however, I felt the Windsor's high end was too thin, as compared to the stout midrange and hammering lows. For a quick fix, I effectively achieved a thicker and richer tone from the amp just by replacing the stock power cable with a cord of heavier gauge wire."

Thoughts?
