Just curious if anyone is a fan of these guys. This one has pretty much been my choice of album of the year since the 1st listen. I'm not a real big fan of the death type of vocals usually, but there is just something going on here that has really caught my ear. Check them out if'n you get a chance.

great album start to finish. Jeff Loomis even makes his mark on the album in the last song. I'd suggest any fans of BTBAM and Meshuggah to pick this up as soon as you can.

I think the musicianship on here is awesome; however, the singer bothers me too much to allow me to really get into the music. Btw, I'm talking about the singing...not the growls. The guy just sounds too I don't know how else to put it but mainstream metal to me.

Without the vocals, the songs are fantastic. With the vocals, they become less approachable. For me, the problem is more about the harsh vocals, which have a staccato phrasing that doesn't always work. I wonder if the band is aware of this, because this disc seems to be available both with and without vocals, which is a bit unusual.
