So I'm recording drums for my band's EP soon, and I was just wondering if having phantom power activated on dynamic mics (that don't need phantom power) would be an issue?
Because the Profire has two phantom power buttons- one for channels 1-4, and one for channels 5-8, but my problem is, I'll need 6 channels for dynamic mics, and the other two for condensers (that need phantom power). So that means that two of my dynamic mics (say I'll use channels 1-6 for dynamic, 7-8 for condensers) will be receiving phantom power. Are there any concerns I should take into consideration or any work-arounds?

Unless you are using ribbon microphones, you have nothing to be worried about, dynamics will not be harmed by phantom power, but they will cause a loud "pop" if you unplug them without muting first.
