Though I kinda dig those old PanterA albums "Power Metal" has some shredding songs on it!

thats is a fucker of a question.....I'd say at the time phil was technically better because of his high screms and his ability to shout/scream aswel as sing well (cemetery gates) but nothing can beat Joey on AAD he's the reason I'm an anthrax fan and he's the reaosn AAD is my favourite anthrax song ever.

Joey! Joey! Joey! Power Metal is fucking terrible, mediocre at best. Armed and Dangerous is a fucking CLASSIC! Phil ain't even in the same league as Joey, vocally imo.

Joey is very good on melodies, it's awesome how he can incorporate his melody lines in very agressive songstructures...

Joey manages to sing melodies over thrash riffs with no chordal progressions (most of the verses from the early stuff)... That takes talent

I'll never forget when I heard that Dimebag had died, my buddy who told me, (he's not a fan obviously) said "Someone from Pantera died tonight!" the first thing that popped into my head was: Phil od'ed.

Joey is much more a better singer!! Though Phil did a good job on Power Metal, I really like that album (previous sux!).
