This is my brothers favorite band, and you can tell just by looking at him. He's the only white person I have ever seen with a huge afro. But now he puts it in dreadlocks. His wardrobe consists of Tie Dye shirts, Shorts, Flip Flops, and Hemp Necklaces. He's also a vegetarian who does lots of drugs. I can always smell garlic on his breath too...
He's a huge hippie, just like his dumb friends.
But, I actually like this band. It's a good band, you should check them out. Tons, and Tons, and Tons of live audio has been recorded by fans (all soundboard) and traded throughout the net.
EDIT: My brother and his friends are all stinking hippies. I remember they came over to my house and were drinking beer, and they all sat either on my couch, or this bean bag I had. I had to clean all of it, because they stunk horribly. My brother even slept in my bed, and stunk it up pretty bad too. I hope if you like this band, that you don't turn into a hippie like he did...

So did you like what you heard of them? I really like this band. But I have to admit, that I really hate some of the bands fans (IE: My Brother). I'm not sure how many dvd's are out, but there is one for sure. It's a VERY good DVD. Has a lot of content, and an excellent selection of songs they chose to put on the DVD. You should pick that up if you really like this band. Phish does a studio album every once in a while, but their stuff is mainly live stuff. What I mean is, is that when Phish signed a record deal, they made sure that fans could record their shows on soundboard all for free. Phish makes sure to always play different song EVERY show that they have. So it's amazing how much good audio you can get from Phish, all being different, and amazing soundboard quality. You can get just about their whole catalog of live shows.
I like what i've heard so far and I've ordered 3 cd's .. 1 from ebay. I like their more ... ummm progressive stuff rather than the layed back acoustic verse chorus verse type songs though. Odd time sigs keep me interested and also takes longer to get used to so it maintain's the interest. Im listening to You Enjoy yourself a fair bit.

Im moving further and further away from metal everyday .. Yesterday it was Phish and now im listening to Yes aswell ... another amazing band. Im finding better music outside the metal genre than inside lately... too bad really.

Well, they have some good studio stuff, but their live stuff is best. Literally HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS of hours of live shows have been recorded. Every single live show they play is recorded through soundboard through fans. I think you can just imagine how much audio you can get from them . But another thing is, is that this band ALWAYS makes sure EVERY show they play, the set list is different. Of course they play the old classics, but every show they play, they always play new stuff. I think they constantly write songs, and just improv a lot at every show. So when you find their community of show traders and get some good shows from them, you'll never know what will be on the set list. Just like in Forrest Gump "Phish is like a box of chocolates, you'll never know what they're going to play next".

) I dont think we should limit ourselves to just a certain type of music because there are so many different bands out there that can do things for you..if that makes sense

DUDE!!! My brother goes to the thrift store and buys these clothes that have been worn for 10 years!! He doesnt shop anywhere but thrift stores and gets old nasty, and dirty looking clothes. Wow... I didn't know hippies were so predictable...
Does he also wear a bunch of hemp neckalces and stuff? Does he have the hippie accent now? does he have a laugh where he goes "henh hanh hanh hanh" now? Please fill me in

They are the only people I know that will actually walk or drive down the street with a joint in their mouth and not give a damn! 2 years ago my brother had dreads..grosses think Ive ever seen ...but being the nice hippy that he is, he shaved his head because he was part of my other brothers wedding party, now he has a fro... As for his laugh hes had the same laugh since we were kids. Fucking annoying laugh!

Yeah he travels all over to see Phish. And yes, I bet they shared a joint at some time or another . He wants to do nothing but travel and see Phish for the rest of his life. I forgot what they call them, but it's where the Phish Head's buy a van, and live in it, and just follow Phish around, selling drugs, candles, clothing, and food and lots of different things at the shows so they can have enough $$$ for the next.
