I was about three-four people back from the front row. I got a bunch of shots from my Treo 650 camphone. Just a low resolution camera phone, so don't expect high quality.

Here's a few samples:

(There are also pictures of Hate Eternal and Arch Enemy in the gallery link above. None of my Chimaira pics came out any good because I was getting bounced around too much by the *core kids).

Show was awesome. Sound for Nevermore was almost perfect. There was a fun moment when Warrel's mic went out during Enemy's of Reality, and he gestured to the audience, and everyone just sung the song for him as he was fixing the mic cords, etc :heh:

This was the first time I've seen them live even though I've been a fan since the Sanctuary days! Had a great time. Thanks to the boys for putting on an awesome show!

that was an awesome show! lol, i think i might have been right next to u when u were taking those pictures.

did u meet steve smyth? he was hanging out in the back of the filmore just watching the show while arch enemy was playing, and he signed peoples tickets and stuff, it was kewl =P

Nah. I was up front the whole show. Too bad. I probably should have headed back towards the sound board. Sound is often better back there. Especially for Arch Enemy, where all I could hear is drums/bass the whole set, and a bit of Amott's guitar, but not the other guy at all.

Nice! I'm glad you weren't murdered by the bouncers there (thats why I didn't take pictures...even without the flash).
Haha, you probably have a few of my head in there

thats funny because we got pics with Jeff, Van, Warrel, and Jim. But not Steve. :(

At one point one of the guards came up to me and tapped me on the shoulder and said "No video!" I replied "I'm not taking video... just stills!" He didn't seem to understand what I said, so I snapped one and showed him, then he left me alone.

I think you may have been standing to my left. I recall someone looking like your picture to my left for a bit.

odd...at Opeth, i didnt get murdered by bouncers...they let me take as many pics as i wanted as long as it was without flash...i guess ya just gotta be sneaky... o_O

Lucky you :>

I've only been able to take pictures at the Pound or Slims.

And Mr. Z, I think I saw you playing with your phone. At first, I thought you were text messaging someone. haha.
But yea, even though they're grainy, they are nice pictures :>

Thanks. Getting good shots w/ that POS is not easy :). Especially while being bounced around by people. During Chimaira every time I'd go to take a shot I'd get hit from behind. Took about 4-5 times to notice that there was this guy behind me who was doing it on purpose. I guess he thought he was "funny". There were a lot of really good shots ruined by that guy.

Too many damn Mallcore types to see Chimaira and Arch Enemy. Kind of suprised AE attracts that crowd. You know. The shaven head types who go there to show how tough they are or something. The AE crowd was worse then Chimaira (made me feel silly for giving up on the pictures during Chimaira). What's funny is that most the people didn't seem to recognize the songs from their best Angela era album, /Wages of Sin/. They just knew the last two albums. Sad.

I really need to find out what one needs to do to get my REAL camera into a venue. I have a Canon EOS 20D with a few lenses that would make for some awesome pictures (once I learned how to shoot handheld in a low light/wierd light concert situation).
