Pink Floyd Metal Covers?

Any band who chooses to cover material from the wall of all PF albums loses respect from me. Plus, to cover isn't to play the song verbatim, but rather to make it your own. My opinion is that you must put as much work into a cover as you would an original. That aside, I would like a metal version of sheep as well. . .

Voivod - "The Nile Song"

Yes:rock: Voivod is had a video of their Astronime Domine version
on a comp.V.C.R. tape.and The Nile Song was a great cover as well.
Both Pink Floyd and Voivod are Top Notch artists in my book:rock:

I hope you are kidding. Kittie have to be some of the most disgusting gross looking females i've seen in one band. The singer/guitarist is especially gross and manly.

I agree with the most part of what you said. If I wanted to hear a band do a FLoyd song that sounded exactly like Floyd.... well I would just listen to Floyd. Otoh.... on many songs, the guitar solo would need to be note for note. Gilmour is a God despite not being very technical. Another guitarist can't top his better solos. In that case, I think attempting to clone the solo would be the way to go.

I love Floyd. They are one of my favorites. Most covers I have heard were pretty bad. Wrathchild America's version of Time was unreal. Queensryche and Dream Theater did a live version of Comfortably Numb. The solo was great.

metalcore/alternative metal cover of High Hopes by Aesthetic Empathy :)

Cheers!
