I just got moonbabies - and all I can say is that it is awesome!!!!!

Its a vast improvement on the last (not that the last wasn't any good thou) Its got life! It moves alot more, and virg's drumming doesn't drag the arse out of the songs.

Give me a couple of days and I'll have a full review up.

Derek Sherinian, ex-keyboardist. He was THE MAN when he was in Dream Theater, but his starpower was too much for the rest of the band and he was fired.

THE MAN? I don't think so. Far from, but he seems to have come on in leaps and bounds on this release.

No plans on a tour yet, but I'll let you know as soon as I hear something

I don't really like Planet X, by the way - bought the first CD and it bored me silly.

OIALT is one of the worst live albums ever! Everything is played slow and the mix sucks.

FII - I don't want to talk about this dog of an album.

ACOS - Sherinian had help! thats all that needs to be said about that.

But I agree about Universe. It is rather boring. The new one is alot better.

Agreed. And they skip the solo from "Scarred", which is sacrilege.

A great album which hasn't really stood the test of time. Some excellent songs (New Millennium, Trial of Tears) and some awful ones (Just Let Me Breathe, Take Away My Pain). It's fashionable for the proggy elite to bag it though.

Planet X - Live From Oz is quite good but not as good as when I saw them in person (twice!!)

I think its great, apart from the vocals, and they aren't even that bad in places. Is the album that got me into DT.

if you wanted a live DT album, you should have checked out LATM, or LSFNY.

LATM isn't the easiest CD to find these days (although I've seen it around a couple of times lately), and maybe LSFNY wasn't out when he bought OIALT.
