Hi everyone. I just had the urge to start this thread on the first day on 2015. I think it's a very special day.

Can you tell, what are your plans for this new year? What do you plan to achieve/accomplish, what bands would you like to see live, what albums to get/listen to, for example?

I'll tell mine later.

Cya.

Well, for me, it was pretty good. Although I had not achieved much in my life, I still enjoyed it. I got to discover some really amazing bands, for example. I started learning things I had not learned about before throughout the entire year, and it was great. I met many new people, both online and offline, and some have now become amongst my best friends now. I started getting into a lot of new music I didnt know about before, and so it added quite a bit to my collection. I studied many things, and expanded my own knowledge by doing so. On Ultimatemetal, I made a return and met some nice people. I didnt really take part in these main sections until now, though. I used to stick to smaller band forums, and they were alright until it got to a point where there was nothing much to do/discuss anymore, so I moved on. I still visit these smaller forums from time to time, for the sake of seeing what's new(if at all).

So that's just a brief glimpse of what 2014 was for me. Now, how about you?

As I'm back in Maine now, I suppose I'm hailing the new year before all the rest of you (except mutantllama). Make it a good year, folks.

Would love to go to a show or two this year.
Last year I saw no one. Year before that I saw only Nile
sucks having 0 metal friends
I need to get under 200 lbs again. We ate healthy as shit lastyear and my weight barely changed. I have no idea what im supposed to do.

I do. During the warmer months I ride my bike to work and I ride the trails constantly.
The woman and I are going to start walking every night after we put the kids in bed.

You'll have to do more than that if you want major changes (doesn't know how much you have to lose) but it's fine if it's minor changes and if so, good luck.

I'll go to a show with you. I haven't gone to one in 3 years, myself.

Gonna see this whole getting signed thing through, make some waves with an album release, start an awesome relationship with a beautiful African woman, take some fuckin guitar lessons, and maybe graduate if I can fit that in.

I've got two professional conferences to prepare for in March and May, plus a number of other academic obligations to square away over the course of the summer.

Hard for me to plan for this year until I know whether or not I get into the program I applied for. Will be finishing my undergrad thesis ad possibly submitting for publication. Will be finishing my undergrad degree.

Right now my plan is to start my grad school prep this next semester, play one more season of pro ball and then start in a masters/PhD program depending on where I'm admitted.
