I haven't had a chance to look at the other catagories yet, will do it now. Akerfeldt in the shredder things a worthy contender I reckon! May not exactly be a shredder - they should probs just change it to guitarist - but his playing is smoooooooooth

Oh yeah, Akerfeldt is one of my all-time favorite players, but a shredder (in any sense of the word) he is not IMO

I voted Akerfeldt in the shredder thing because even by his own admission he is not a shredder so I thought it'd be amusing if he won.
And yes, I voted Sylosis best newcomer and it looks like I've been subsequently banned from the Alestorm forum because of that.

Just to clarify, has everyone been clicking on the best new band bit then going back to the main page and clicking 'submit your vote' and filling out your details?.....I got my girlfriend to do it and she just clicked on the 'vote' next to our name n left it at that haha n I didn't realise
