please reccomend a free RTAS amp sim plug

Hello, im a noob with amp sims. i am on a pc running PT 10 and i am wondering if there are any good sounding hi gain amp sims out there that will work with this set up. they must be RTAS compatable.

All joking aside, as far as i know, there is no free RTAS amp sim .... but some VST seem working well through VST2RTAS wrapper

Well... you have SansAmp and Eleven Free that are a part of Pro Tools. Other than those, there are free version of Amplitube and POD Farm.

so i found the monster amp sim thread but i see i need a vst to rtas adaptor to run the lopu stuff. i have looked over at sweetwater for such a product and i cant find one. where do i get a vst wrapper?

You can use the wrapper from FXPansion. I wrote with Kellen McGregor a few days ago and he's using a Wrapper to use Lepou Amp sims with pro tools. But he said that you're not able to change settings in the plugin. You have to use automation to change paramters and stuff.

^You can turn the knobs using the scrollwheel on your mouse. But for switches you need to write automation.
