Dead Winter
STAHP
I recently discovered this Aussie band (I'm like 4 years behind on this, I know) but I really dig it. They're called The Jezabels, and it's like avante garde post-rock neo-folk pop that sounds like Sarah Mclachlan with balls. Really, REALLY melancholy stuff and great mood music. Really awesome lyrics, too.

Also, the band Rome has really, really, really, really dark-acoustic stuff that's cool. It's like a drone, acoustic, even more depressed Nick Cave who joined Antimatter.

Arctic Sleep is gorgeous cello-heavy, post doom metal...it's weird because it's all major scale intervals so it all sounds so grandiose and uplifting instead of darker, brooding, depressing doom (which I love). Yet, I dig it.

That should hold you over for a while.
