POD XT Pro

I've spent the last couple of nights with my new XT Pro with Metal Shop Pack. The one thing that still leaves me cold is the Fizzy processed sound that I can't seem to get away from it.

I know loads of you guys use this. Do you have any suggestions which might solve this.

He is probably talking about a low pass filter.

Sell it. Get an HD147 if you want the best high gain modeler Line 6 has to offer. The firmware is entirely different than anything else they make - they won't tell you this - but it is 100% true and the Vetta/XT firmware is literally incapable of producing the HD147 tones.

I'm using the POD XT for tracking and prepro only and I really hate how it sounds, lol (don't have the metal shop though)

Not readily available, as I just use it for live and pre-production, but it really sounds worlds better than the POD XT.

I will get to work on some clips for you, though, as time permits.

The XT is a lot more tweakable than the HD147. There's WAY more options and tones.

That said, neither really sound as good as a tube amp, even slaved and impulsed.

Use the tubescreamer, dual rectifier, mesa cab, 57 on axis and keep the gain low - it works fine for me for tracking.
