POD XT reamp question?

I keep getting feedback when i use the reamp on my pod xt? Im following everything correctly do i have to run the lineout on the pod directly to another amp to monitor? Even when i playback it i dont hear it reamping through the POD What am i doing wrong?

The manual explains it pretty simple. Not sure what pod you have but i use spdif with my xt pro to do any reamping.
