I literally haven't listened to the radio in nearly 10 years.

Non-internet radio, that is. I don't even know who's played on the radio these days.

That said, this song is pretty cool. It's nothing I'd listen to voluntarily, but I'll take this over shitty Italian music ANY DAY. Also, pop music writers usually are geniuses and thoroughly versed in theory and know exactly how to write a good song. Notice I'm speaking about pop music WRITERS, not performers, as most of the time they're just glamorous karaoke singers.

But holy shit this Lady Gaga chick seems to know what she's doing, and she's not trying to sing like black chick. She's singing with soul in that clip with the piano.

Horrible haircut... Was a bit surprised that this made our rotation... well I don't hate, but I usually crop it out for some Queen anyway, because ITE: Radio Gaga > Lady Gaga.

The chorus has this little minor scale progression that sticks in your head. Someone could easily make this a metal song with a melodic chorus. E Phrygian for the verse and fool around with some minor scales for the melodic part. Maybe harmonic minor too.

Dorian works well for the chorus as well, gives it that poppy, catchy groove.
