Nokturnal Mortum are from the Ukraine and yes they have one of the best Death Metal scenes too.

Yeah, it is Ukraine (and a few more bands from other countries) that has the strongest NSBM scene. I find it interesting, Hitler wasn't very fond of Ukraine.... on second thought... he liked the idea of turning the country into grain storage for the great Germany, so maybe he did like them after all. Anyways, the music is great. Bands like Hate Forest, Nokturnal Mortum, Apraxia, Lucifugum, Temnozor, Astrofaes, Dub Buk and many other kick Norway's ass with ease.

The Polish scene is/was excellent.. Thunderbolt's latest album was a bit of a disappointment, though. Gontyna Kry is easily my favorite out of the lot, Welowie is untouchable.
