Kiss are better IMO - they're early work was classic. Aerosmith have some amazing songs but they weren't as consistent as Kiss.
Of course, if it was based on what they've done since 1980 or so, Aerosmith would win.

Gotta vote for Kiss, I love every album they did from their debut up to Alive II. After that I only like Creatures and Revenge, but man those albums in the 70's were killer rock and roll, favorite is either Kiss, or Rock and Roll Over. Whereas with Aerosmith they only have a couple of albums I like and they have sucked harder since Done With Mirrors than anything Kiss has ever done

Have to give kiss the overall edge for brashiness and balls, 'sides I'm a KISS Army member from way back. But, that being said I am also a 'smith fan and have seen them live in concert only second to KISS in number of times.
(of course I am biased, "Detroit Rock City" an all...)
