A zoomer is similar to a 'pure dobber' or a 'fud'.

I trust that settles the matter. Incidentally, good luck with your sexuality.

Ok, dude, speak english please. WTF is a dobber or a fud?

My vote got it even now and I voted for Aerosmith. They write better songs, though they´re known to have recorded some crap through the years.

Hahahaha! They're all derogatory terms in Scotland. I like to share these things with my foreign friends, cos someone on here gave the word 'asshat' to the world and I am eternally grateful.

"Whoa dude, like, totally lighten up, guy!"

Is NOT as good as;

"Get a grip ya fud"

...but both apply.

KISS "soft rock" HAHAHAHAHA
Gregadeth you obviously haven't listened to "Hotter Than Hell," "Alive II," or "Creatures of the Night!" Soft rock. That's a laugher.
KISS win hands down. They wrote great catchy rock tunes, basically heavy metal Beatles, or the Ramones with solos. Throw in the best live act most hae ever seen, and you've got a winner.
Gene and Paul wrote nothing but great song after great song from '73-'78. It's been hit or miss since then, but they always maintained some of the original flavor throughout the 80's and 90's.
Aerosmith were great up until "Done With Mirrors," but have been pop rock since then. (And this gregadeth cat calls KISS "soft rock", Greg, have you heard any Aero release sine 1987?????)
Also, on the "World Domination" tour, I saw KISS win over the Aerosmith fans night in and night out. People were leaving in droves halfway through Aerosmith's set. (Including the Anthrax guys when I saw them at the Pittsburgh show.)

Kiss mostly played the softest of soft rock with a few heavier tunes and they are "legendary" b/c of their stage prescesnce..

I just don't get it.
That is just laughable and shows you haven't really listened to either band. KISS' most commercially accesible albums (prolly "Crazy Nights" or "Unmasked") still rock harder than anything Aerosmith have done since "Done With Mirrors" Aerosmith whole post mid80's career has been based on power ballad after power ballad. If you are going to say KISS is "soft rock" fine, but don't use Aerosmith has the band to compare them too. For the record, I like both bands, and have seen them both live several times. I do like KISS better, but your assessment of KISS is lunacy.

aerosmith has deeper lyrics
You may indeed have something there, but it's rock n roll. The Ramones and the Beatles don't strike me as poets. I'm still laughing at Kiss being compared to Chicago :Spin: Of KISS' numerous Top 40 hits, only 3 are ballads. ("Beth," "Forever," and "Hard Luck Woman.") With the exception of "I Was Made For Loving You," the others are great rock songs. "Rock And Roll All Nite," "Shout It Out Loud," "Christeen Sixteen," "Calling Dr. Love," "New York Groove," and "Rocket Ride." Let's list Aerosmiths top 40 songs, and so whose are closer to Chicago? "Pink," "Jaded," "Crazy," "Angel," those are just the ones on the top of my head. That was perhaps the most incorrect assessment of KISS I've ever heard. "Soft Rock."

Since you ask; I had the first SOD record when I was younger. I thought the music was great and the guitar tone blew me away, but the lyrics...Hmm. The "hey, we're only kidding..it's a character" stance was proved wrong whenever Billy opened his mouth in an interview. Then he carried it on into MOD; just ignorant, blinkered, racist, sexist fucking nonsense. It's such a shame, cos the music was great at the time, but it's ruined for me now.

Also, I speak English perfectly well. I just choose to throw in the occasional colloquialism to make people laugh/confused/think about there being more to language than the global Americanisation of it. And everything else for that matter. That's not to say I think American influences are necesarilly bad, but any globalisation is at the expense of another culture and I'm not comfortable with that. You could argue that US culture is stronger than other cultures, but I think (in terms of language) it's just easier and that's why it's so prevalent.

See, this is exactly the kind of discussion we couldn't have on the Milano board. Which brings me full circle.

:)

Gregy, enquiring minds are still waiting for your "logical" rebuttal to this asessment :OMG:

Why bother? What I think/say has no value to people like you so just fill in the blank.

..and there you go.

As of this moment I'm finished with your game. Talk your elitist shit. Make sport of me. I don't give a fuck. You won't be able to goad me into any more pissing matches.

The songs that get popular off Aerosmith Records tend to be crappy, ballad type songs. I find that every album has at least a few real rockin tunes, the new blues album is great to listen to, but not my favorite. Kiss and Areosmith it's a tough decision, I can't believe people would leave that kinda show. I guess when you are rich like Anthrax you can afford to see what ever band ya want! :D
