Well i am probably the 7456218531864th person in the world to make a thread about him, Just what a shame, :/ His Zoo that he worked at ruled.

I always expect crazy people like that to either live out full lives or die by something stupid... its the safe quiet people that stuff like that happen to :(

:OMG:

I really can't believe his gone... . When a classmate told me that he had passed away, I felt such a big hole in my heart  . I never knew him, and I seldomly watched his programs, but I liked him, so I feel sad  .

R.I.P Steve Irwin

Just watched shocking site about torchering animals and about their "rights"... So I'm even more sad that one of so big animal protectors died so young. :(
I really loved his shows.

I dont know, but I think the guy was an idiot. I saw some of his shows and I just couldnt believe it, how stupid they were. He risked his life so many times, he was an irresponsible jackass holding his baby above an aligator. Anyone who is shocked by his death should wake up, it was simply a matter of time.

I fireman risks his/her life too -_- The death of a person is always sad to some degree.

Edit: And let's not forgot that his two kids has lost their father and his wife has lost her husband. THAT is sad.

Yeah he was an idiot especially for that... but he got so much slack for that and he apologized for that, But everyone has to admit he was one of the biggest weirdo’s to ever exist... But i must say i learnt so much watching his stuff... But good guy all around... I was just expecting him to be eaten by a crock.

But apparently even the white house (USA) has made a statement about him... Has this really gone that far?

Im not saying it isnt sad, Im only saying it was only a question of time. A fireman doesnt risk his life, its only a part of his job, whereas Irwin sought dangerous situations willingly, when it wasnt really necessary.

I don't think we should pity him in death. He lived a life full of excitement and he always chose to walk the line. One of his feet was in the grave sinc ehe started snake handling and crocodile hunting... and it's clearly what he loved. At least now no one (and I don't think anyone ever could really) can call him a phoney. Dying while involved in something your life revolves and is given meaning by is not a bad way to die at all. Of course, he still had alot to offer, and hopefully his zoo won't get exploited and will remain a place where animals are not only adored by on lookers but also given respect and great care by the keepers.

The upper smiley stomps on the bottom one and makes it cry in pain?

Had to happen sooner or later. Funny it was a stingray and not, say, a crocodile. :Spin:

Seriously, though, i did watch The crocodile hunter a couple of times and i can tell that the guy was an expert, not like those chaps from that Discovery Kids show with the pet skunk (or whatever it is, i really don't remember) and other guys. He really knew just about everything about all kinds of animals. As it says in that thing Ivana linked us to, "a huge loss to Australia" -- and to the world. :(
