I'm loving the preview of this new release at their myspace, seems very...VERY different from anything they have done before. I noticed there are a few lines in the lyrics taken from Fear Of A Blank Planet, part two in the concept?

Apparently, the songs on the EP are just B-sides from the Fear of a Blank Planet recording sessions. They sound good nonetheless. There are a few moments that are just different, but that's good IMO.

unreleased songs. in the ol' days, Records had an "A" side and a "B" side. You put the hit singles on the "A" side and some other songs on the "B" side. When people get bored of the "A" side, they check out the "B" side for more.

im guessing steven wanted the original 6 songs to be totally seperated from the others. He said Fear of a Blank Planet was supposed to play like a continuous piece of music, maybe the others didnt fit the feel. From what i get from the sample it hardly sounds like the rest of the record. On the other hand, he does this with almost every records so who knows what hes thinking

You can buy either. The EP release with 4 tracks on it, or the 5.1 DVD-A release with the bonus tracks on it. Also, you can buy a 2 LP release with the bonus track on it as well.
