Post about your Bands / Musical Projects here!

Not really in a band, but I do like to create my own music alot. I usually play guitar everyday, and sometimes when I am happy with a riff, I will remember it, and try to incorporate it into a song with many other riffs I am satisfied with. Of course the style of my guitar playing/creativity is heavily influenced by such bands as Agalloch,Woods of Ypres, Ulver etc.. Though I havn't gotten around to recording anything yet.

I sing in several bands, my main band being a deathmetal act called Canopy, the other a more thrashy
deathmetal band called Facing Death. I've also laid down some backing vox for the blackmetal act
Obitus and thrash act Subcyde !

That's just about it!

Feedback is always fun!

.:crast:.

What about those of us who have non-music creative endeavors? I have a book of short stories + novella out. The link's in my sig.

I write a lot of music for myself. I'm pretty much finished a demo, you could say, I only have a bit of percussion and some strings to write. I'm planning to record it within a few months with a local company. It should sound huge, tons of instrumentation. Unfortunately I don't play piano or drums, but I have that all lined up.

Well I play guitar and write songs for a rock/punk band but it doesnt really interest me that much.. What I love writing is folk-based symphonic stuff, which I have pretty much been doing since 12-years old. I dont have any band or protects for those ideas yet, but hopefully future brings a way to release something.

Actually I have an album nearly finished but I'm not sure what do with it. I wrote most of it when I was really young and I've learned alot of theory and stuff later.

Ive been thinking about starting to build an amateur home studio of some kind. Need to get my own place first though.

Not doing anything in a "band" right now (thinking of selling my bass guitar actually :erk: ) but I play Japanese drums in a local group called Wadaiko Rindo. You've probably all seen this kinda stuff before, but there's a sample video of what we do here.

I'm a relatively new member though so I'm still a bit shit. :ill: First concert coming up this weekend too. :zombie:

I'm in a local thrash/death/viking/metal band called Eviscerate (its temporary) and I play lead and rythm guitar and do a sort of death growl. We're fairly new and are looking for a second lead guitarist and a "real" singer. Meaning, someone who has experience and doesnt suck.

I write songs and play bass for black/death/whatever band Shadar Logoth, we've just recently finished up our demo and the artwork is finally done and printed. you can hear a clip at our myspace, www.myspace.com/shadarlogoth, there will be another on shadar-logoth.com once its revamped in the coming weeks.
anybody interested in a copy can email band@shadar-logoth.com and we'll get one out, or just message on myspace

woah, is your music based upon "Wheel of Time" by Robert Jordan? :)

I've been playing guitar for like 4 years now and it works pretty fine for me. I often write some kind of songs but I'm always a bit uncontent with what I do, especially when it comes to drum programming. But I'm working on it and am still getting better :)

the necrochicken?
edit: mystic woods is a pretty good track

LOL, thank you. yeah, i'm actually kinda dissappointed i used that idea for the parody thing, it could have turned into something nice. it was made up on the spot, though, and my friend edited/produced it.

I just started a stoner/doom band a few weeks ago. So far it's only myself and a bassist, but we're looking for a drummer and singer. We've only practiced once, but I seem to be the principal songwriter. Should be pretty interesting, especially whenever I get a job to fund my next amp purchase.
