It was a $5 show. Bones is a new band with a bunch of ex-Usurper (Chicago) members. Sounded promising, but I didn't catch the whole set. No release yet, so no Metal Archives page. Sauron doesn't really do it for me, but Wastelander is pretty cool and always good to see on a local bill. Kommandant has some moments, but could stand to be on a few less bills. This has to be at least the sixth time I've seen them.
Planet Metal had a merch table, so tons of $5 cds and stuff, and a few boxes of vinyl to pick through.

Echo & The Bunnymen - Porcupine
Finally got around to buying this one, the only one of their 80s albums I don't have. Not sure why I didn't buy it before, it's got some of their best material.
Dead or Alive - That's the Way I Like It: The Best of Dead or Alive
I normally don't care for 'best of' releases but this one isn't the typical compilation of stuff you've already got on the band's proper albums. It's basically a compilation CD of the 7" versions of DOA's singles. Plus the album cover is cool!
