4. Freak Kitchen - Very interesting band
Yep :D Crazy as hell, Mattias rules.
5. Symmetry - Their latest is a masterpiece!!!!
*blush* Thanx again man ;) I'll mail Glenn. Maybe we could come together with Sun Caged then.. time will tell :)
6. Antithesis - Their 3rd should be out by then....
Still haven't heard. But when it's your pick, they probably kick ass!
7. Redemption - Their 2nd should be out by then....
Same as above.
8. Sieges Even - Would be great to see these guys live!!!!
Yeah!! Cool chance for them also to promote their new stuff. SE rules!!
9. Watchtower - These guys will be on my list until I actually get to see them!!!!
On of the coolest bands I've seen live.. damn..the energy.. :hotjump:
10. Communic - If the early buzz is any indication this band is gonna kick ass!!!!
Curious...

Alternates:

Alchemist
Anubis Gate
Eldritch
Manticora
Pathos
Platitude
Seen Alchemist at PP Eur > WHOA!!!
Platitude I've seen too.. didn't do too much for me.

Some more options :

Lanfear (www.thelanfear.com) > German kick ass prog/powermetal, get those ;) Then we can travel there with 3 bands whehe (Symm, SC, Lanfear)
Ramzet
Devin Townsend (I know he played there, but man, can't get enough of him)
And a great thing would be Steve Walsh with the Glossolalia-line up!!! I'd kill for that...

grtz,

Frank

Ok let me see

Zero Hour [an absolute must!!]
Sieges Even [See comments after Zero Hour]
Cea Serin [Fantastic new band]
Biomechanical [These Brits rule!!]
John Arch [Thats hard to do, I know, but if its possible I'll travel the world for it!]
Ohm [Yea it's fusion, so?]
Vision Divine [I am *very* suprised the prog community has not embraced this band after their latest quality release "Stream Of Consciousness"]

Friday:

Satyricon
Burzum

Saturday:

Darkthrone
Enslaved
Immortal

4.Sonata Arctica
5.Sonata Arctica

1.Sonata Arctica
2.Sonata Arctica
3.Sonata Arctica
4.Sonata Arctica
5......Sonata Arctica :D

16 hours of Sonata?

So let's see, that's all their songs and B-sides and EPs, plus 8 hours of covers? :)

Actually, they seem knowledgable enough about the Stratovarius catalogue that they could do Sonata songs the first day and then give us Strato covers the next. Works for me!

Ok.....just for fun - here's my dream PP line-up:

Friday
1. Nocturnal Rites
2. Pretty Maids
3. Sonata Arctica
4. Kotipelto
5. Nightwish

Saturday
1. U.D.O.
2. Edguy
3. Primal Fear
4. Helloween
5. Iced Earth

I would die a VERY HAPPY guy!!!!

Ayreon/Star One (almost same touring line up as last time)
Lost Horizon
Rage
Kotipelto
Dream Evil
Pagan's Mind
Evergrey
Iced Earth
Royal Hunt (yea right...)
Symphony X

Lost Horizon and Dream Evil would be very nice to see. I'm with you there.

symphony x
pagan's mind (glenn you HAVE to get these guys back for next year. screw eidolon/eldritch or whoever that band is that nils rue is singing in now besides PM. they suck)
evergrey
labyrinth
angra
virgin steele
gamma ray
the gathering
jag panzer

and last but not least, like someone else mentioned:
ACCEPT(reunion) or UDO (the crowd would go nuts)

this is completely a wish list. i doubt more than 3 of these bands make it, aside from the obvious SX and evergey slots

Fates Warning...

The case:
- The new album is absolutely mind blowing
- They are getting no push at all from that horrible record label (MB)
- Because of this, they probably won't tour... and even if they do it will be shitty little dives.

These guys are one of the few legends of Progressive metal music and deserve to play at the best Prog festival in the country.

Glenn - Bring these guys to PPVI please!!

Oh and by the way, if John Arch happens to be doing nothing that day... well, feel free to bring him along as well!

Pretty Maids. I really dont want to have to slip and fall in a Mc Donalds resteraunt and then sue them to get the money to bring this band over so, cmon guys, help a metalhead out!

1. open
2. open
3. Bach
4. Circle to Circle
5. Evergrey

1. open
2. Masterplan
3. Sinergy
4. Fates Warning
5. Iced Earth

I like the idea of having a prog rock band or two next year. Here is what I would like:

prog:
1. Fates Warning
2. Pain of Salvation (yeah, I know it's against the rules to have a band two years in a row but since Glenn made the rules, he can also break them ;) )
3. Watchtower
4. Marillion
5. as an opening act for one of the nights, find a very good band or group of musicians to cover various prog rock bands such as Rush, Gentle Giant, Yes, and King Crimson

power:
1. Angra
2. Helloween or Gamma Ray
3. Shaman
4. Scanner
5. Stormwitch

There would be thousands of this threads later, but just for the record, I would not miss PP6 by any chance, if five of the following bands are present:
Nightwish
Rhapsody
Virgin Steele
Threshold (I am still amazed that I didn’t know about them before PP3)
Sonata Arctica
Children Of Bodom
Aria (The Russian band)
Saratoga (The Spanish Band)
Vhaldemar (Spanish Band, English Lyrics)
Haggard

And of course: Dead Kennedys (it’s a holyday in Cambodia… ;-)
